Photography is my personal quest. It takes me places, and allows me to cross paths with people who I may otherwise not have a chance to meet.
I developed a serious interest in photography in 1999 while travelling. In 2011, a friend introduced me to the Strobist style of photography, as coined by David Hobby. This took my photography in a completely new direction. Now, with my lighting equipment and techniques, I don't have to wait for the perfect light any more. I've learned to mix ambient light with strobe to "make" a picture--not just "take" one.
My focus is dramatic, emotive portraits that show the beauty in people and what they do. If you are interested in my images or working with me, I would love to hear from you.
